Women's ring size guide
Ring size for women uses the same scale as men's sizing, US, UK, EU, India, Japan, and China all convert the same way. What's different is the typical range, and a few fit questions that come up more often: stacking, resizing limits on set stones, and how pregnancy changes finger size temporarily.

Engagement and fashion rings tend to be narrower
US 6 to 7 is the most common ring size women order at most major US retailers, but it's a sales pattern, not a rule, plenty of people fall well outside it.
Average middle finger ring size for women
The middle finger typically runs slightly larger than the ring finger on the same hand, commonly around US 6.5 to 7.5 for women, though this varies as much as any other finger measurement does. If you're buying a midi ring or a statement piece for the middle finger specifically, measure that finger directly rather than assuming it matches a ring-finger size you already know.
Resizing limits on engagement rings
Most jewelers can resize a plain band up or down about two sizes safely. Rings with pavé stones set into the shank, eternity bands, or very thin bands have less room, sometimes half a size in either direction, since resizing stretches or compresses the metal around the stones. If you're buying an engagement ring and the size is a guess, it's worth measuring carefully now rather than relying on a resize later.
Stacking multiple rings
If you plan to wear a wedding band and engagement ring together, or stack several thin rings on one finger, measure with a similar amount of "stuff" already on the finger, or size each ring slightly looser than you would a single standalone ring. Two snug rings side by side will feel tighter than either measured alone.
Pregnancy and temporary swelling
Finger size can increase noticeably during pregnancy, particularly in the second and third trimester, and usually returns to normal a few months after. If you're pregnant and need a ring now, many people size for comfort during pregnancy and plan to resize afterward, rather than sizing for a pre-pregnancy measurement that won't fit for months.
